Assembly Bill 2163 (Mendoza), the bill that “fixes” last year’s THP extension bill(AB 1066 of 2009) by applying the additional time to THPS extended to THPs extended as well as expired in 08 and 09, has passed the State Assembly and the State Senate, and is on the desk of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. He has until midnight, Thursday September 30, to (1) sign the bill into law (2) veto(kill) the bill or (3) allow the bill to become law without his signature(rarely done.)
